Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Names 2024 Legacy of Excellence Award Winner

And The Award Goes To...

Written by: Emily Strange

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE&R) announced the winner of the Legacy of Excellence Award, the company’s highest peer-to-peer recognition. Each year, dozens of team members nominate their colleagues to be considered for this prestigious honor. The Legacy of Excellence Award is awarded to someone who embodies the HE&R Core Values, is devoted to our founder Milton S. Hershey, and gives back to Milton Hershey School.

This year, a record-breaking 54 team members were nominated by 68 of their peers for this distinguished award. HE&R is delighted to announce Angie Meyers as this year’s recipient of the 2024 Legacy of Excellence Award.

Angie, Director of Recruitment and Talent Acquisition, was nominated by her teammates Zach Bleiler and Jacklyn Mrakovich. Here are a few highlights from their nominations:

  • Angie does a great job actively listening to her team, providing constructive feedback tailored to each person, acknowledging achievements and she creates an inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing ideas. Angie is very good at helping team members balance their work life and their personal lives.
  • When presenting Angie with a new idea, process, concept, resource idea - anything - she approaches her team with a "seeking to understand" mentality. She treats all ideas as great ideas and allows her team the chance to comfortably present new ideas to her. She's been one of the most approachable and down to earth directors.

Angie and her fellow nominees were recently recognized and celebrated at an event at The Hotel Hershey. Learn more about the award, Angie and the other nominees in this video
