Hershey Country Club Welcomes New Head Golf Professional
Hershey Country Club (HCC) is delighted to introduce Chad Yogan, the new Head Golf Professional at our esteemed Club. Chad follows in the footsteps of several legendary head golf professionals, including Ben Hogan, Henry Picard and Jay Weitzel. These former HCC pros contributed significantly to the success of our Club and continue to make a lasting impression today. Chad will undoubtedly carry on this tradition!
Chad’s career with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts started in 2015 when he worked at HCC as an Assistant Golf Professional. In the fall of 2019, he accepted a job in retail & merchandising for Hersheypark, The Hershey Bears, and The Hotel Hershey. This opportunity allowed him to enhance his knowledge in high-end buying which he then put to practice at the Club’s Golf Shop and Tennis Shop.
He helped with the execution of Hersheypark Collections and created the products and merchandise sold at that location in Hersheypark. From coordinating signage to picking up fixturing and curating decor, his main priority was enhancing the guest experience.
His expertise at HCC contributed to the success of bringing new vendors to our resort properties. Those brands include Lululemon, Vuori, Peter Millar, Johnnie-O and Vineyard Vines, just to name a few! He also assisted with bringing the Lululemon store to The Hotel Hershey, now known as HH Studio.
In his role as Head Golf Professional, Chad will assist our Director of Golf, Sara Muldoon, with overseeing all golf operations, coordinating and running member golf events, performing club fittings, teaching golf lessons and buying merchandise for the Golf Shop. His former coworkers cannot wait to work closely with him again!
He has qualified to play in the Pennsylvania State Open and the Pennsylvania State Amateur. In 2019, Sara was awarded PGA Merchandiser of the Year, a huge honor Chad had the privilege of assisting with.
Chad’s favorite things about working at HCC are building connections with our members, buying merchandise for the Golf Shop and performing club fittings for members and guests. Additionally, he has a love for supporting the Milton Hershey School.
As we warmly welcome Chad back, we eagerly anticipate HCC flourishing under his guidance. If you are a member or guest visiting the Club, stop by the Golf Shop to say hello!
