Hershey Country Club Hosts the 60th Annual Men’s Invitational

Summertime at Hershey Country Club (HCC) brings back the largest golf tournament of the season, the 60th Annual Men’s Invitational! Every year, we welcome over 90 teams to join us for three days of competition. Players compete in five 9-hole matches, win prizes from skills contests and indulge in delicious meals. Take a look at highlights, winners and scheduled events that took place!
First Match and Skill Contests Kick Off
Players completed their first match of the tournament and ended the night at our Stag Night, where they met our golf professionals under the lights for a closest to the pin competition on Hole 16. Congratulations to Scott McMannamon for winning the member portion with three feet and nine inches, and Justin Dishaw for winning the guest portion with an impressive two feet and eight inches.
Day Two Heats Up With Double the Matches
The second day began with an early morning breakfast on Hogan Grill Patio and time on the Practice Range to prepare for the next two matches ahead. At the Practice Range, we set up music and have our Golf Attendants around to help clean clubs while players warm up. That evening, we welcomed players and their spouses for a Spousal Dinner with a grand buffet, music entertainment and cocktails.
Winners Are Determined in a Shootout
On the final day, matches four and five were completed, and the winners of each flight were determined. Those flight winners moved forward to an extensive three-part shootout. Congratulations to all flight winners:

- Cocoa Flight: Dave Benovy & Paul Cocco

- Burke Flight: Eric Gilroy & Zachary Reynolds
- Spring Creek Flight: Justin Wright & Doug Houser
- Parkview Flight: Michael Moskal & Scott Maloy
Winning teams were assigned to four groups, and teams with the best three-hole net aggregate net shot score advance. The second round of the shootout began with each winner of the four groups competing until there were two teams left. Following the same scoring format, two teams from that round advanced to the last round, and an Overall Champion was crowned.
One Team Takes Back-to-Back Overall Championship
Congratulations to Gari Gaspari and Ryan Weaber for securing their second consecutive win in this year’s Men’s Invitational!
This event requires a lot of work from our golf, turf maintenance and food and beverage teams. Every team member provided exceptional hospitality service and went above and beyond to ensure our members and their guests experienced a truly exceptional experience.
