Hershey Bears to Host Hockey Fights Cancer Night, Nov 20

Tickets Still Available

The Hershey Bears are proud to host Hockey Fights Cancer™ Night on Sunday, Nov. 20 as the Bears take the ice versus the Hartford Wolf Pack at 4:30 p.m. at GIANT Center.

Joining the efforts of the National Hockey League, Hockey Fights Cancer unites the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families. When the Bears take the ice Sunday, players will wear Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys that will be auctioned off post-game to benefit local charities as part of its community-focused Hershey Bears Cares initiative, including Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and American Cancer Society. The jerseys feature an "I Fight For" patch on the front, allowing players to write the name of a loved one impacted by cancer they will honor when they take the ice.

We are honored to again host Hockey Fights Cancer Night. Cancer impacts us all, and this is a powerful evening where the community comes together in support of cancer patients and their families, and it is a night for us to honor and remember those who have lost. Through our Hershey Bears Cares program, we look forward to helping raise funds to support the fight against cancer, and we encourage fans to fill out an ‘I For For Sign’ to recognize the loved ones in their lives impacted. While there is a game to be played on the ice, this night is far bigger than hockey, and the Bears organization is proud to work with the NHL and AHL to host this special event.

New this year, a sublimated replica version of the club’s Hockey Fights Cancer jersey will be available for sale starting on Sunday during the game. This limited edition item can only be purchased at the Hershey Sports main store, and will be available in sizes S-3XL.

Fans are encouraged to wear lavender on Sunday, and thanks to Penn State Health, all fans will receive a lavender rally towel. The ice surface will also see a change for this special night as the rink’s blue lines will be transformed into lavender lines, and the dasher boards will be accented in lavender. Players can also use lavender tape on their sticks, and their helmets will feature a Hockey Fights Cancer decal.

Special Bears-themed “I Fight For” signs are available to download and print HERE, and a limited quantity will also be available throughout the concourse outside of section 101 on Sunday. The club will hold a “Moment of Fight” during the game, and fans will be asked to hold up their “I Fight For” signs to showcase friends, family, and loved ones. Additionally, throughout the evening, the Bears will share the stories of players and staff who have been impacted by cancer.

Fans may share their stories and who they fight for on social media by using the hashtags #HBHIFightFor and #HockeyFightsCancer.

Tickets to this special evening are available online and at the GIANT Center Box Office.

The game will also be televised on FOX43 immediately following NFL coverage.
