Hershey Bears Headed To 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs

Tickets Now On Sale For Game 3 at GIANT Center

This spring, the Hershey Bears are #RoaringForMore … more Calder Cup banners, that is!

Playoff hockey is back in Chocolatetown, as the Bears make their 70th appearance in the Calder Cup Playoffs, as the chase for banner No. 12 is officially underway.

After securing a first-round bye thanks to a second-place finish in the Atlantic Division during the 2022-23 regular season, the Bears will play their first games of the 2023 postseason, presented by Penn State Health, this weekend.

Hershey gets set to take on the Charlotte Checkers in the best-of-five Atlantic Division Semifinals. The Bears begin the series with the first two games on the road, before returning home to GIANT Center, where Bear Nation’s full support will hopefully push the Chocolate and White to another Calder Cup title.

The complete schedule for the Atlantic Division Semifinals is as follows:

  • Game 1 - Friday, April 28, at Charlotte, Bojangles Coliseum, 7 p.m.
  • Game 2 - Saturday, April 29, at Charlotte, Bojangles Coliseum, 6 p.m.
  • Game 3 - Wednesday, May 3, vs. Charlotte, GIANT Center, 7 p.m. - BUY TICKETS
  • *Game 4 - Thursday, May 4, vs. Charlotte, GIANT Center, 7 p.m.
  • *Game 5 - Sunday, May 7, vs. Charlotte, GIANT Center, 5 p.m.

*If necessary. All times are Eastern.

Single-game tickets for Game 3 are on sale now for the 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs at GIANT Center! Save on tickets and score your seats by purchasing online via Ticketmaster. Later games in the series will go on sale as they become necessary.

Hershey is in the playoffs for a league-record 70th time, and no team in the league has more than Hershey’s 11 Calder Cup titles. The Bears owned a record of 3-3-1-1 against the Checkers during the regular season. Alternate captain Mike Vecchione led Hershey in scoring against Charlotte this season with nine points (4g, 5a) in seven games, while rookie forward and Washington Capitals prospect Hendrix Lapierre paced the Bears in goals with five.

Let's Go Bears!
