Hershey Bears Give Back: December 2018
The Hershey Bears are committed to giving back to the community as a part of our Bears Cares initiative. December has included a variety of community events which featured the CommunityAid & WGAL Teddy Bear Toss, along with player appearances to Cocoa Packs, Vista School, Milton Hershey Elementary and the American Cancer Society.
The CommunityAid & WGAL Teddy Bear Toss quickly gained national media attention, and was carried by more than 500 media outlets across the world. The event captured national attention from ESPN, Barstool, CNN, CNBC, Fox News and more.
Following the Teddy Bear Toss, members of the Hershey Bears took the community to hand deliver a record-setting amount of teddy bears:
Earlier today, our Manager of Wellness and Team Affairs, Dan “Beaker” Stuck visited Jack at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence. Jack is a huge Bears and @Capitals fan. We’re proud to give him a team autographed practice jersey! #BearsCares #HBH pic.twitter.com/x2HzBoHXe0— Hershey Bears (@TheHersheyBears) December 15, 2018
@rileybarber94, Mason Mitchell & Coco from @TheHersheyBears put on their Santa hats to deliver more plush from Sunday's record-breaking #TeddyBearTossHershey.
