Hershey Bears Announce New Broadcaster

Zack Fisch is the New Voice of the Bears

(Hershey, PA – September 27, 2016) - Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company (HE&R) is pleased to announce that Zack Fisch has been named the new voice of the Hershey Bears. Fisch was most recently the voice of Hershey’s ECHL affiliate, the South Carolina Stingrays.

“We are thrilled the new voice of the Bears is a member of our extended family,” said Bryan Helmer, VP of Hockey Operations. “We value our partnership with the South Carolina Stingrays and are excited to welcome Zack to our organization.”

In his previous role, Fisch spearheaded the team’s media relations initiatives, digital platforms and social media channels.

"I am honored and thrilled to become the voice of the Hershey Bears and cannot wait to get started,” said Zack Fisch, newly appointed broadcaster of the Hershey Bears. “I'd like to thank HE&R and the South Carolina Stingrays for making this opportunity possible. Hershey is a special place with a rich history and a passionate fan base that is second to none. I look forward to becoming part of the Hershey community and broadcasting for this prestigious and elite organization as it seeks a 12th Calder Cup.”

The Olathe, KS native joined the Stingrays after three years with the Dubuque (IA) Fighting Saints of the United States Hockey League. With the Fighting Saints, Fisch was twice selected to host the USHL's ‘Draft Show,’ and was named the main play-by-play broadcaster for the 2015 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. With the Fighting Saints, Fisch broadcast a Clark Cup Championship and Bronze Medal win at the 2013 Junior Club World Cup in Omsk, Russia. His duties with the Fighting Saints also included media relations, digital media and corporate, group and season ticket sales.

Zack and his wife Krista will be relocating to Hershey, PA in time for the Hershey Bears 79th season.
