HE&R's Diana Cooney Named One of the YWCA’S Tribute to Excellence Award Winners

At last week’s Tribute to Women of Excellence (TWE) awards dinner, our own Diana Cooney was honored along with 32 other well-deserving local women for their contributions to our region, both professionally and philanthropically. For 29 years, The YWCA Greater Harrisburg has hosted this annual event honoring women who actively participate in the community as a mentor, volunteer or role model, while demonstrating integrity, strength of character and leadership, and embracing the vision and mission of the YWCA. Since this award's inception, the YWCA has honored more than 560 extraordinary women who dedicate time and talent to making a difference in Central Pennsylvania

Following the awards dinner, Diana reflected on the evening noting, "It was an honor to be recognized along with so many other incredible women. I am very fortunate to work for a company that supports many wonderful causes, and to be surrounded by team members who display their selfless spirit of service and dedication to out community partners." 

Diana’s extensive community service efforts are many and include being an Instructor and Instructor Trainer for the American Red Cross Disaster Services Team, as well as an Instructor Trainer for the American Red Cross Health and Safety Team. She leads our company’s Children's Miracle Network volunteer efforts and is an active participant in Junior Achievement. Additionally, she helps coordinate our annual Adopt-A-Family Program during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season, as well as organizes the creation of hundreds of Easter baskets for children in need. Diana is active in Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE&R) Project Fellowship program with Milton Hershey School. She has led various United Way campaign initiatives at the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex and currently leads HE&R’s Service Advisory Committee.

For the last 10 years, Diana Cooney has faithfully served HE&R in various roles within the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex including Office Manager of the Food & Beverage Department, Concessions Area Manager and Sales Service Manager. Currently, Diana serves as Guest & Premium Services Manager – a pivotal position assisting the many visitors to Hershey The Sweetest Place On Earth.
