HE&R Team Members Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month
During the last month, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE&R) has celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month. A celebration of history, heritage, and culture, our team members have learned about the origin of Hispanic Heritage Month, the number of countries that encompass this vibrant culture, Latin influences on the entertainment and culinary worlds, plus notable Hispanics through the generations. Here, we hear from some of our team members on what this month-long celebration means to them.
Matt feels it is important to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in order to recognize the cultural contributions and influences within the workplace and community. “It is important to me that our individual differences are celebrated.”
Matt Romero, Director of Rooms, The Hotel Hershey
"This celebration gives people an opportunity to learn more about the Hispanic culture and some of the iconic Hispanic figures throughout our history who have made a positive impact on our society.”
Montana Miller, Sales Manager, Hershey Resorts
“One of my favorite things about this time is that the public is made aware of the long Spanish contributions to this country.”
Janeth ‘Flor’ Martinez, Assistant Executive Steward, Hershey Lodge
"Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to reflect and celebrate the contributions Hispanic Americans have made to our great nation. I'm honored to represent my family's culture and heritage.”
David Gongora, Senior Manager of Recruitment
