Guide to summer fun at Hersheypark Camping Resort

5 things to do to make your summer stay even sweeter

Who's excited for a sweet stay at Hersheypark Camping Resort this summer?

With free resort benefits, including the best price on Hersheypark tickets, 1-hour early entry via Sweet Start, free front-gate shuttle service to and from the Park and more, you're sure to experience some #HersheyparkHappy memories.

But don't forget to leave some time in your itinerary to experience all of the sweet family fun the campground has to offer, too!

Here are five must-do activities to make your Hersheypark Camping Resort stay even sweeter.

Summer crafts, activities and entertainment

From lawn games to face painting to take-home crafts, glitter tattoos, and more, the Hersheypark Camping Resort recreation team has a great lineup of activities to entertain guests this summer. Make sure to stop by the Recreation Center and make a craft that you can take home to remember your trip or play some games outside the Stone House. A complete schedule of activities can be found online, via CampersApp (use HPCRMoose to log in), or at Historic Landis Barn.

Outdoor Movie Nights

There's nothing better than a movie night under the stars! Grab a spot in the grass at the Hersheypark Camping Resort Starlight Theater at  Historic Landis Barn for outdoor movie nights at 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday through Labor Day. In the event of rain, movies are moved to the Recreation Center.

Animal encounters from ZooAmerica

Guests love when the campground invites their friends from ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park to visit. Stop by the patio outside the registration office on Sundays at 6 p.m. this summer for "Paws, Claws, Scales & Tails" and encounter North American wildlife up close!

Pool and playground fun

Make sure to pack a swimsuit to cool off in the campground's two swimming pools and kiddie pool! Pool hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through early August and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from early August through Labor Day. The campground also has several nearby playgrounds with swings, slides, climbing structures and more.

Games and recreation

The campground has a variety of games and recreation facilities for guests to enjoy, including basketball, volleyball and shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits and even an indoor game room with some pretty sweet prizes. See for yourself in the photos above!
