Get To Know Shannon Halbleib, Hersheypark Camping Resort's New Manager

Please join us in welcoming Shannon Halbleib as the new manager of Hersheypark Camping Resort! Shannon will oversee the day-to-day functions at the Camping Resort and has a long history with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE&R).

Shannon began her career with HE&R in October 2003 as a front desk agent at The Hotel Hershey. Her thirteen-year career with HE&R has led her through five job titles, including her most recent role as executive housekeeper at The Hotel Hershey. Shannon has 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry and is a member of the International Executive Housekeeping Association.

In her free time, Shannon is really involved in her community. She has volunteered her time for the last 8 years to the Humane Society, where she assists with dog walking and events. Shannon is a big advocate for pit bulls and truly loves all animals – she even stops on the side of the road to see baby cows on her way home from work! Shannon is also very involved with the United Way. In 2015, she chaired the HE&R United Way Committee in 2015 and The Hotel Hershey’s United Way Committee from 2013-2014.

When she’s not working at HE&R or volunteering her time, Shannon can be seen running races – both on and off the road. She recently completed the Savage Race, an endurance race that features over 25 obstacles!

While Shannon has breezed through several obstacle course runs, she believes that her biggest obstacle has been working to accomplish all that she has without a college degree. She truly feels blessed to have gotten every opportunity and thanks the company for giving her opportunities to grow and develop as a professional.

In her new role, Shannon is most looking forward to getting to know the dynamic of the Camping Resort. She loves working on teams and is really looking forward to helping her new teammates grow.

Next time you are at Hersheypark Camping Resort, please stop and say “hello” to Shannon. She loves chatting with employees and guests. Shannon loves a good challenge and is ready to tackle her new “obstacle course.”
