Enjoy a Family Night Out with Hershey Bears Hockey

This post originally appeared on www.MommaRambles.com

Growing up outside of Washington DC, attending Capitals games with my dad was a regular occurrence! My siblings and I were groomed to be hockey fans, and is still a sport we very much enjoy watching. So when I had the chance to take my son to a Hershey Bears hockey game, I knew this would be the perfect family outing for us… especially since the Bears are the American Hockey League affiliate of the Capitals! The Hershey Bears actually offer a Family 4-Pack which makes this even more the obvious choice for a family night. But you better hurry though! The season ends next month!

Included with the discounted pack, you’ll receive four tickets to a game, four hot dogs, four fountain drinks, four popcorn boxes, and a program! If your kids are anything like mine, you know how much kids enjoy snacking during these fast-paced sporting events.

Let me first say that definitely one of the benefits of staying at an official Hershey resort is that they provide transportation to and from the Giant Center (schedule permitting). Parking is $9 for games, but thanks to the concierge at the Hershey Lodge, that is one less thing I had to worry about! A shuttle took us and two other families to the game, dropping us off right by the entrance. And after the game? Sure enough the shuttle was waiting for us in the same spot. Our wonderful driver was listening to the game so he knew exactly when to head back to the Giant Center to meet us.

We had awesome seats! However I can tell that since the Giant Center is a little bit smaller than NHL rinks, it seems that no seat is a bad a seat! Even the nosebleeds have a great view of the rink and action.
