COVID-19 safety updates from MeltSpa by Hershey

That’s our promise to you. Across our destination, the health and safety of our guests, team members, and community members has been and will always be our top priority. Throughout your visit to MeltSpa by Hershey, we want you to relax, rejuvenate, and recharge knowing that our objective is to keep you healthy and happy.

Following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Pennsylvania Department of Health, Pennsylvania Department of State, and the International Spa Association to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, our spa operations have expanded and enhanced our already rigorous cleaning, sanitization, and disinfection procedures above our already high standards. We have increased the number of hand sanitizer machines throughout the property and will ensure social distancing is maintained between guests and team members. We are proud to increase employee training to reinforce how our team can take better care of you - our guests - but also themselves.

Please be advised that all guests over the age of two must wear face coverings during their visit. Face shields are not permitted. Guests will also undergo a touchless temperature screening when they check-in for their appointment(s). New Health & Safety Enhancements

Preparing for your visit

We want you to enjoy all that MeltSpa by Hershey has to offer knowing that our objective is to keep you healthy and happy and ask that you partner with us on simple steps before and during your visit. Here is how you can prepare for a relaxing and safe experience at MeltSpa by Hershey:

Guest Experience

  • Reservations for all services are required.

  • All guests over the age of two must wear face coverings during their visit. Face shields are not permitted. Guests will also undergo a touchless temperature screening when they check-in for their appointment(s).

  • To ensure social distancing:

    • Follow signage throughout the property to direct foot traffic.

    • Partitions are in place at the reception desk.

    • Appointments will be scheduled to manage appropriate capacity.

  • Restrooms/Lockers

    • Guests are welcome to use clean and sanitized robes and slippers.

    • All personal care amenities have been removed from the locker rooms. Guests are encouraged to bring their own.

    • Lockers will be sanitized between each use.

  • Guests must complete Health History and new COVID-19 Health Screening forms. Guests are encouraged to complete these forms ahead of time and present them upon arrival.

  • If you are sick, experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of your scheduled spa treatment(s), please contact us and reschedule your service(s).

Treatments and Services

  • Facials, lip and chin waxing, and makeup services are not currently available.

Refreshments

  • Refreshments including cocoa, tea, coffee, water, muffins, trail mix, and Hershey’s Chocolate are available upon request.

Employee Precautions

  • Team members have been thoroughly trained on the recommended precautionary steps from the CDC, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and Pennsylvania Department of State to inhibit the spread of germs.

  • All team members must wear face coverings and gloves where appropriate.

  • All team members will change into clean and sanitized uniforms upon arriving at the spa.

  • We have increased the number of hand sanitizer stations throughout the property.

  • All team members are given hourly breaks for proper handwashing, as well as after contact with guests.

  • Team members are required to complete a COVID-19 screening, including temperature checks, to identify the presence of symptoms and reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure. In addition, team members have been instructed and are regularly reminded to not report to work if they have COVID-19 symptoms or if they come into contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has a COVID-19 test pending result.

  • Where possible, workspaces have been redesigned to enforce social distancing.

COVID-19 Warning

We have enhanced health and safety measures for our guests and team members. Guests must follow all posted instructions while visiting MeltSpa by Hershey.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death and people who show no symptoms can spread COVID-19 if they are infected. According to the CDC, older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. By visiting MeltSpa by Hershey you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Our company has always maintained high cleaning, sanitization, and disinfection standards, which meet or exceed established industry guidelines. With that strong foundation, we have introduced new enhancements that adhere to recommendations from the CDC, Pennsylvania Department of Health, Pennsylvania Department of State, and International Spa Association.

Are you open?

  • Yes. MeltSpa by Hershey is open.

What should I expect when I check-in?

  • When guests check-in for their appointment(s), we will check their temperature with a contactless, infrared thermometer. Guests will also be asked to complete our new COVID-19 Health Screening form. Based on guidance from health authorities, if guests are displaying a temperature of 100.4° Fahrenheit or above or if they answer "yes" to either question on the COVID-19 Health Screening form, they will be asked to leave the property immediately and we will contact them to reschedule their appointment(s).

Do I need to wear a face covering?

  • Yes. Face shields are not permitted.

Do I need to have my temperature checked?

  • Yes. Guests will undergo a touchless temperature screening when they check-in for their appointment(s).

How are you keeping the spa clean and safe?

  • Across the spa, our company maintains high cleaning, sanitization, and disinfection standards, which meet or exceed established industry guidelines. Our team rigorously cleans public spaces several times daily.

  • We have increased the number of hand sanitizer stations available.

  • All guests over the age of two must wear face coverings during their visit. Face shields are not permitted. Guests will also undergo a touchless temperature screening when they check-in for their appointment(s).

  • Social distancing is being implemented including limiting the number of guests permitted in public spaces. Seating in the relaxation lounge is spaced accordingly.

  • We use signs, floor markings, and other announcements to remind guests of physical distancing requirements.

  • We regularly remind guests and team members of health and hygiene and physical distancing requirements.

  • Team members are required to complete a COVID-19 screening, including temperature checks, to identify the presence of symptoms and reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure. Can I arrive when you open to relax all day at the spa?

  • No, guests will receive an arrival time in their confirmation email. We ask that all guests arrive at their assigned time.

Are the locker rooms open?

  • Yes, the locker rooms are open and available to guests and will be sanitized between each use.

Do you still have personal care amenities in the locker rooms?

  • No, not at this time. Guests are encouraged to bring their own.

Do you still have magazines in the relaxation lounge?

  • No, not at this time. Guests are encouraged to bring their own reading material.

Is retail available?

  • Yes, retail is available.

  • All product testers have been removed.

My Melt Money coupon expired while you were closed. Has the expiration been extended?

  • Yes. Melt Money coupons that expired while our operation was suspended have an adjusted expiration date of August 31, 2020. Please hold on to your original Melt Money coupons. Melt Money coupons are not replaceable if lost or stolen.

When will my coupon expire?

  • Melt Money coupons that expired while our operation was suspended have an adjusted expiration date of August 31, 2020.

Are you still issuing Melt Money coupons?

  • At this time, due to reduced capacity thresholds required in accordance with guidance from the CDC and state government, we are not currently issuing Melt Money coupons. With these restrictions currently in place, we are unable to guarantee appointment availability before Melt Money coupons expire.
