Cosmic Hockey to Bring Inaugural Tour to GIANT Center in January

Cosmic Hockey, a new glow sports concept, will visit GIANT Center on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2027. The “Cosmic Hockey Takeover Tour” will feature two professional teams, the Chilly Peppers and the Neon Miracles, who will face off for the first time across seven cities.

Guests are encouraged to sign up for the Cosmic Hockey ticket lottery for first access to purchase tickets at https://cosmichockey.com/#lottery.

“After seeing the unbelievable energy and excitement surrounding Cosmic Baseball, taking this concept to the ice was the natural next evolution for us,” said Chris Martin, Owner and Founder of Cosmic Sports. “Cosmic Hockey is an immersive, high-energy entertainment experience that blends elite athletic speed played under black lights. We’ve re-imagined what a hockey game can look and feel like, and we can’t wait for fans to step into the arena and experience it live for the first time.”

Prior to each game, fans can enjoy a pre-game block party featuring player meet-and-greets, early access to merchandise and interactive fan zones. The game will consist of two halves played with modified rules designed for maximum skill display and fan engagement. While the first half features standard arena lighting, the second half transitions to full UV-reactive black lights, lighting up uniforms, gear and the puck in a vibrant neon glow. Fans are encouraged to wear reactive clothing to join in the experience.

“Cosmic Hockey merges the skill and creativity of hockey with the immersive technology of Cosmic Sports.  Whether you’re a long-time fan of hockey or it's your first experience with the game, Cosmic Hockey will deliver a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience for fans of all ages,“ states John Cimperman, VP of Cosmic Hockey.
