3rd annual chocolate sculpture unveiled at Hershey's Chocolate World

Standing over 6 feet tall and flashing his famous grin, the Reese's Product Character was recently revealed as this year's life-sized Chocolate-Covered February sculpture at Hershey's Chocolate World Attraction.

Ironically, the peanut butter icon is made of pure Hershey's Chocolate this time...in fact, 260 pounds of it! Pennsylvania-based food artists Jim Victor and Marie Pelton once again managed to expertly capture the personality of a favorite Hershey icon, spending a collective 300 hours designing, constructing, and perfecting their work of art.

Reese joins a popular crew of sculptures from the past two years, including the Hershey's Product Character in 2017 and company founder Milton S. Hershey in 2018. But this year something different happened for Marie as she worked on all of Reese's identifiable details...she often found herself dreaming of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. "That doesn't happen very often that I want to start eating the thing that I'm sculpting!"

Marie is not alone in her love of the famous peanut butter + chocolate combo. The face of this year's masterpiece may have taken a bit of inspiration from fans' love for the new Reese's products that recently debuted at Hershey's Chocolate World, including Reese's Outrageous and Hershey's Milk Chocolate with Reese's Pieces.

These new treats are sticking around (with more to come soon!), but the Reese sculpture will only be on display through February, so come meet him in person while you can! Other sweet experiences include Chocolate-Covered February parades and Chocolate-Covered Journey food and drink tastings. Plus, the month-long celebration also continues throughout the town of Hershey.
