Chocolate-Covered February: The Wine & Chocolate Pairing Explored

It’s February, which means Chocolate-Covered February is in full swing! With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it’s time to plan romantic ways to spend time with that special someone. What’s more romantic than wine and chocolate at The Hotel Hershey?

The Wine & Chocolate Pairing class is the perfect event for couples looking for a romantic, yet fun and informative, experience! The class, led by Beverage Manager Brian Confair, teaches couples the art of wine tasting. Brian emphasizes his five “S” method in which couples must see, swirl, smell, sip, and savor each glass.

Couples have the opportunity to try five different types of wine, including Malbec, Cabernet, Zinfadel, Chocolate Wine, and Asti Spumante. The glasses are full and arranged from full-bodied to light-bodied wines.

Additionally, each glass of wine is perfectly paired with a delectable white, dark, or milk chocolate treat. Executive Pastry Chef Cher Harris creates delicious pastry items— such as her milk chocolate praline, dark chocolate decadence, and white chocolate cheesecake—to accompany three of the glasses. The other two glasses are accompanied by a milk and dark piece of Scharffen Berger chocolate.

The Wine & Chocolate Pairing event will be held on February 13th, 20th, and 27th at 4:00 PM at The Hotel Hershey. The event costs $48 per person (inclusive of tax and gratuity). You must be 21 or older to participate and reservations are required. Please call 717-534-8800 to book your romantic evening now!

Cheers, and don’t forget to share your photos with us by using #loveHersheyPA!
