Celebrating National Intern Day 2024 in Hershey, PA

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE&R) offers multiple internship programs for students and young professionals. These programs allow students to learn from dynamic teams across the destination and receive internship credit with their colleges and universities. 

Today, July 2025, 2024, is National Intern Day, and we are celebrating our brilliant HE&R interns who helped sweeten the summer in Hershey, PA! Professional and Hospitality Internship Programs

The Professional Internship Program is open to students looking to gain experience in a corporate environment through hands-on learning and real-life experiences. Internships are available in various career fields, including Accounting/Finance, Communications, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Marketing, and Sales. Additionally, Hospitality Internship Program participants support our resort properties, The Hotel Hershey and Hershey Lodge, and grow their managerial and operational hospitality skillsets in the areas of Food & Beverage, Guest Services, Housekeeping or Recreation. 

Members of the Professional Internship Program have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals in their declared majors while exploring careers outside of their department. Interns also attend sweet workshops on leadership, team-building, and professional development.

Hersheypark Leadership Development Internship

The Hersheypark Leadership Development Internship (HPLDI) is perfect for college students looking for an enhanced summer employment experience and pursuing a career in the hospitality, amusement operations, or culinary fields. HPLDI participants live and work with other students from across the company for 12 weeks to develop leadership skills, participate in Student-Centered Leadership Development coursework, earn money for school, and have the opportunity to receive college credit.

Milton Hershey School Spartan Internship

This summer, welcomed 15 Milton Hershey School (MHS) students to immerse themselves into their aspiring professions as Spartan Summer Interns. During the four-week program, Spartan interns connect with professionals in various departments across the destination, including engineering, maintenance, culinary, legal, marketing, retail, and information technology.

Throughout their internships with HE&R, Spartan Summer Interns are exposed to and familiarize themselves with work requirements similar to or related to their areas of expertise. To conclude their experience, MHS interns in each department present their final projects, sweetest moments, and key takeaways from their internship at a Career Exploration presentation to their supervisors and peers from Milton Hershey School’s Year-Round Experience program.
