Celebrate the Holiday Season at The Hershey Story Museum

Little Elves Workshop, Snowball Saturdays, Holiday-Themed Chocolate Labs

Families can experience the holiday season at The Hershey Story by participating in a variety of Yuletide-inspired activities. Little Elves Workshop returns, as do Snowball Saturdays and holiday-themed Chocolate Lab classes. Dates, times and details for all holiday activities are listed below:

Little Elves Workshop 
Nov. 20, 21, 26-28; Dec. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 24 and 26-31, 2021
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Kids will journey through "Little Elves Workshop" and use chocolate clay, icing and ribbon to fashion an ornament. Children can also try out some cool vintage toys, and the whole family can pose in front of a snowy Hershey scene for a holiday photo opportunity; $7 per ornament; adults may accompany children at no charge.  

Snowball Saturdays
Dec. 4, 11 and 18, 2021
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Friendly indoor snowball fights are the centerpiece of this holiday event. In addition, kids can visit with a snowman and listen to stories about wintertime fun.
Free; admission to the Museum Experience not required.

New Year’s Eve Countdown
Friday, Dec. 31, 2021
11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Families are invited to celebrate the New Year throughout the day at The Hershey Story Museum. Kids can make some noise with "bubble-wrap stomps" at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Activities take place on the museum patio, weather permitting.
Free; admission to the Museum Experience not required.

Holiday-themed Chocolate Lab Classes
Holiday-themed Chocolate Lab classes are being offered on weekends beginning Saturday, Nov. 20, and daily beginning Wednesday, Nov. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022. Guests can enjoy a 45-minute class where they learn about chocolate and make their own chocolate treat. Visit HersheyStory.org for a daily class schedule; ticket purchase required; children must be at least 5 years old to enter the lab. Holiday-themed Chocolate Lab classes are as follows:

  • Candy Cane Bark – Layer milk chocolate with white chocolate chips and chunks of peppermint candy to create candy cane bark.
  • Chocolate Reindeer – Use white and milk chocolate and toppings to create an edible reindeer.
  • Chocolate Wreath - Create a Christmas wreath using mini pretzels, milk chocolate and sprinkles.
  • Make a Very Merry Bar – Mold and customize a milk chocolate bar using holiday decorations. 
  • Marshmallow Mischief (Offered on select days in Dec.) – Dunk a giant marshmallow in melted chocolate, then roll it in holiday toppings.
