Catch them before they’re gone – New Summer Shows in Hersheypark

During my internship with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE&R), I have had the opportunity to see all of the phenomenal Hersheypark summer shows and entertainment. I can say with confidence that these shows boast some of the greatest young talent in the industry, and are a must-do when visiting Hersheypark. There are four new shows this summer to the Park: Once Upon…, The Good Time!, Cocoa Rhythm and The Waves. Each offers a unique personality and flavor, which can only truly be felt by experiencing the shows firsthand. Once Upon…
Chevrolet Music Box Theatre
May 26 - August 25
2, 3:15, 4:30 & 5:45 p.m.
Once Upon… is truly a show for every member of the family. Looking around the audience, I saw young kids and adults young at heart tapping along to the familiar songs. Beyond the music, I was in awe throughout the show at the exquisite costumes, set design and top notch acting. When seeing this show, make sure to watch for the incredible choreography in the “Rhythm of the Night” scene! Once Upon… runs daily in the air-conditioned Chevrolet Music Box Theatre.
The Good Time!
Dietz & Watson Country Grill
June 2 - August 25
12:30, 1:45, 3 & 4:15 p.m.
Being from Tennessee, I appreciate seeing a country themed show. This performance is perfect for those who enjoy country tunes like Stuck Like Glue and more of Carrie Underwood’s best hits. Get your boots ready and walk on over to Dietz & Watson Country Grill for this fast-paced, energetic show.
Cocoa Rhythm
May 26 - August 25
4, 5:15, 6:30 & 7:45 p.m. No shows on Mondays.
March to the beat of these drums alongside Cocoa Rhythm. Strolling through the Park, this group features a six-piece drumline. I couldn’t believe when I saw their drums look like cocoa barrels! I loved seeing the faces of kids throughout the Park light up upon seeing this perfectly Hershey themed band. Don’t skip this beat on your Hersheypark visit.
The Waves
May 26 - August 25
12:15, 1:30, 4 & 5:15 p.m. No shows on Mondays.
Turn up the heat and turn up the tunes! The Waves are a beachy band playing summertime favorites by The Boardwalk entrance. Their music immediately brought the feeling of sandy toes and crystal blue water right to Hersheypark. When I heard songs like The Beatles’ Octopus’s Garden I immediately thought of summer fun during this show!
