Candymonium Construction Update
Top Hat Now on Hersheypark's Tallest Coaster
Since we broke ground in early January, construction on Hershey's Chocolatetown has been in full swing!
In July, we announced plans for Candymonium and our teams immediately began work on the tallest coaster coming to Hersheypark.
This week, our Construction Services team craned the top piece of Candymonium into place - our 15th coaster at Hersheypark now stands proudly at 210 feet.
Check out these images of the exciting moment!
Opening in summer 2020, Candymonium will be the tallest, fastest, longest and sweetest coaster at Hersheypark.
As The World’s Sweetest Coaster, Candymonium will feature:
- a lift height of 210 feet
- a max speed of 76mph
- a track length of 4,636 feet
- the most airtime of any coaster in Hersheypark
Manufactured by industry leader Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), Candymonium will span 7 acres at the new entrance of Hersheypark as part of Hershey’s Chocolatetown.
Take a look at some of our construction updates we shared leading up to this week:
As we announced last October, we are so excited about Hershey’s Chocolatetown and our $150 million transformational expansion.
