#BreaktheBias - International Women's Day 2022

To commemorate International Women's Day, this email was sent to our team members as part of our organization's Women's History Month celebrations. 

Today marks International Women’s Day. Celebrated across the globe since 1911, this year’s theme is 'Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.’ In support of this theme, InternationalWomensDay.com says, “Imagine a gender-equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.” 

What can you do to get involved? Throughout the day, people from all walks of life will be posting photos on social media crossing their arms in an ‘x pose’ to demonstrate solidarity for equality. You can also support women-owned businesses, and wear purple - the color of International Women’s Day. But the easiest way to support International Women’s Day is to celebrate the women in your life. Let your female family members, colleagues, and friends know how important they are and that you support and appreciate them.
