A Garden That Gives Back To The Community

In support of this week being National Gardening Week, we wanted to showcase the Hershey Community Garden. It opened in the spring of 2014 on the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center campus. The garden was founded and built by Hershey Impact, which is comprised of The Hershey Company, Milton Hershey School, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company (HE&R) and The M.S. Hershey Foundation.

There are a total of 124 garden plots available for the community to cultivate. The garden has traditional garden plots, plots designed for children and highly raised plots for those unable to bend to ground level. Due to the current success the garden will be expanding. Phase two will ready for the 2018 growing season and will add an additional 115 plots.

We hope you enjoy a current view of the Hershey Community Garden. For more information on the garden, please visit their website.
