5 Ways To Get Drenched at Hersheypark

It's August...which means the high temperatures, humidity and air conditioning are in full effect.

I must admit, I am not a fan of air conditioning and I really do enjoy the lazy, hazy days of summer, but the heat index has been abnormally high this year. Going to the local swimming pool is fun, but taking a dip is not quite enough for me. I want to be drenched, soaked, saturated and sopping wet! And, I think I have found the perfect place: Hersheypark! 110- acres of clean green fun that includes The Boardwalk at Hersheypark. The best part? No additional charge is required for this glorious oasis of refreshing fun.

Being a BIG fan of The Boardwalk, I have my own "Top 5" favorite spots to get drenched at Hersheypark.

#5: Tidal Force.

One of the tallest splashdown rides in the world, Tidal Force not only soaks riders, but it also soaks the guests passing by the ride who happen to venture into THE SPLASH ZONE.

#4: Water slides.

Choose from 1 or 2 person rafts and six different slide configurations to sail into 3.5 feet of dazzling water.

#3: Wave Rider.

Catch a wave on a boogie board while you're being sprayed by the surf.

#2: The Shore.

The Shore features 378,000 gallons of water with all the fun of the ocean waves without the sticky sand!

#1: Intercoastal Waterway.

Float along 1,360 feet of a slow winding river - passing under bridges and waterfalls - and you'll forget all about that heat wave! Trust me on this one - it is my #1 favorite way to cool off!
