2025 Guide to Mother's Day Weekend in Hershey, PA

Visit Hersheypark and ZooAmerica

Is mom a thrill seeker, or does she love any chance to try a new sweet treat? Either way, there is something for her at Hersheypark amusement park! Enjoy a day of riding roller coasters together, sipping King Size Shakes, meeting Hershey Characters and more. 

Hersheypark is open over the Mother's Day weekend on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

If mom is an animal lover, she'll enjoy taking a peek at the North American animals at ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park, which is included with a Hersheypark ticket when entering the Zoo from the bridge inside Hersheypark during posted Park hours. 

ZooAmerica is open daily, including 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 9-11.

Enjoy Delicious Dining

Treat mom to an indulgent meal at one of our 15 dining properties throughout Hershey, Pa. The all-new 1933 Restaurant & Tavern at The Hotel Hershey is open all weekend long and offers brunch on Mother's Day from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Featuring an approachable steakhouse menu and elevated pub fare, 1933 is the ideal place to celebrate mom, offering tasty cocktails and one-of-a-kind desserts. 

Hershey Lodge is offering a buffet brunch on Mother's Day, with delicious options that she won't want to miss out on tasting. Brunch is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and reservations can be made by calling 717-520-5489. Both resort and non-resort guests are welcome to book.

The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio, in addition to its usual family fare with a fun spin and hints of chocolate, will be featuring a limited-time lineup of Mother's Day drinks. Treat mom to the all-new Momtini, MeeMee Margarita or Mom On The Beach cocktails. These special sips will be available exclusively from Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11.

Other restaurants across Hershey, such as Houlihan's Restaurant + Bar, Devon Seafood + Steak and more, will also be open on Mother’s Day.

Plan a Weekend Staycation

See Brit Floyd at GIANT Center

On Friday, May 9, join mom for a performance she won't forget! Brit Floyd, widely recognized as the world's premier Pink Floyd experience (Rolling Stone), will bring their biggest and most spectacular production to date to GIANT Center. The group's 2025 tour celebrates the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's iconic album “Wish You Were Here" and features an award-winning laser and light show, massive circular screen, inflatables and theatrics. 

Visit Hershey Gardens 

Hershey Gardens offers moms free admission to the 23-acre walk-through botanical garden on Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11. Guests who visit on Mother's Day weekend can see bounties of spring flowers on display and visit hundreds of butterflies from around the world in the Butterfly Atrium. Also in the Butterfly Atrium is the Zoology Zone, where visitors can get up close and personal with creatures from Asia, Australia and South America, as well as cool bugs from our own backyard.

Visit The Hershey Story Museum

Moms can also enjoy free admission to The Hershey Story's Museum Experience on Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11. Visitors to the museum will learn the history of the life of chocolate pioneer Milton S. Hershey, his wife Catherine and the town of Hershey, Pa., through exhibits, artifacts and interactive experiences. To make your visit extra sweet, consider purchasing tickets to decorate chocolate in the Chocolate Lab and sip on chocolates from around the world during Chocolate Tastings.

The Hershey Story is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Tickets can be purchased at the museum admissions desk for entry.

Experience Hershey’s Chocolate World

Give mom the sweet opportunity to become a chocolatier for the day at Hershey’s Chocolate World! She can create her own candy bar, learn how chocolate is made on a free chocolate tour ride, or learn more about what makes our town's history so sweet with a trolley tour throughout Hershey, Pa.

Is mom a kid in a candy store? She can also explore aisles and aisles of unique gifts, chocolate-themed apparel, sweet souvenirs and, of course, candy at the World's Largest HERSHEY'S Store.

Chocolate World is open all Mother's Day weekend long; hours vary by day:

• Friday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Sunday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
