2022 Summer Highlights at Hershey Country Club
With summertime in full swing, the Hershey Country Club (HCC) team has stayed busy providing Members and guests with exceptional experiences and long-lasting memories. From golf to swimming to social events, HCC has exciting summer highlights to share with everyone!
Women's Golf Day
The Club celebrated Women’s Golf Day in June by hosting the Women’s Member-Guest Tournament. HCC had a record turnout this year, with over 50 ladies competing. The day ended with a well-deserved beach-themed lunch and prize handouts. Gross winners of the Tournament were Kate Rauch and Allison Wix. Net winners were Sue Engle and Barbara Shellhorn.
Foxes on the West Course
Members and staff have spotted furry foxes on the course all summer long. Baby foxes have called the Club their home near holes 13 and 15 on the West Course. Players have taken photos of them sitting on the fairway or running across the green. Our new club “pet” needed a name, so the HCC Instagram page had followers vote on a name and of course, named him Milton!
July 4th Celebrations
This year, the Club fired up the grill and hosted an Independence Day on the Patio cookout. Families relaxed, enjoyed plenty of food, listened to live music by the Little Brother Band, and watched the Hersheypark fireworks! On the golf course, players were dressed in red, white, and blue for the July Fourth Ponies Tournament. Recreation had loads of opportunities for Members whether on the courts for Holiday Cardio Tennis or at the pool during the Club's July Fourth Pool Party!
ICSL Swim Team Championships
The HCC Hurricanes Swim Team had a competitive season of swim meets. This year, the Club hosted the Inter-Club Swim League Championships in July. The HCC Hurricanes took third place overall and ended the season celebrating with a Swim Team banquet. We can’t wait for next year! Go Hurricanes!
Bocce Ball League Has Begun
Summer outdoor activities occur almost every day at the Club, and the recreation team is happy to have Bocce Ball in the mix! The Bocce Ball League is back this season with 16 teams participating for first, second, and third place prizes. HCC League Playoffs begin on August 9, and League Championships begin on August 16.
