2022 Legacy of Excellence Award Winner Announced

With a record-setting number of nominations for the Legacy of Excellence Award, the class of 2022 demonstrates dedication to our Core Values, devotion to the legacy, commitment to Milton Hershey School, and a focus on our community. On behalf of team members across Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, I am pleased to announce that Scott Comport is the 2022 Legacy of Excellence award recipient. Scott, Executive Housekeeper at Hershey Lodge, was nominated for the highest level of recognition within our company by two colleagues, Jeff Friedel and Brian Klees. 

Here are highlights from Scott’s nominations: 

• Scott acts in a way that exemplifies our founder's vision. He genuinely cares about every single team member in his care. 
• His team respects him, and he treats everyone with the dignity and respect they deserve. Scott gathers input from his large and diverse team - everyone feels heard and has a voice.
• Scott has an unwavering work ethic, arriving to work early and staying late until his team successfully completes the day’s tasks. He volunteers to help in any department, ensuring we meet guest expectations. 
• Scott mentors Milton Hershey School graduates and leads the Housekeeping Manager-in-Training Program at Hershey Lodge. 

Scott, I want to extend my warmest congratulations to you on this well-deserved honor. Your leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence have set a shining example for all of us, and I am truly grateful for all you do.
