Winter Fun at ZooAmerica
Wild Things to Do in December
Experience a Winter Wonderland at ZooAmerica in Hershey, PA
Did you know winter is actually one of the best times to visit ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park?
The animals on exhibit outdoors are so much more active and easier to see. In fact, many of the Zoo’s outside animals actually enjoy the cold weather as their bodies adapt with thicker hair or fur. ZooAmerica offers two programs in December for families to enjoy.
Wild Winter Adventures
Learn how animals survive the cold winter months during Wild Winter Adventure! Encounter live animals including reindeer at Hersheypark, enjoy a snack, explore ZooAmerica, and more!
This program is three hours long and is designed for children K – 5. All children must be preregistered and prepaid to participate. Space is limited.
Morning and afternoon sessions are available on December 8, 9, 15, 16, 27, 28, 29 and 30.
Pre-registration is required.
Wild Treats
During the month of December, the Zoo staff schedules “Wild Treats,” which are food treats specially prepared by Zoo Naturalists as a part of the ongoing animal enrichment program.
If you would like to see the animals get their own snack, visit ZooAmerica on these dates:
- December 8, 9, 15, 16, 27, 28, 29 and 30 at 10:30 am and 3 pm.
