Visiting Hershey, PA in the "Off-Season"

This post originally appeared on NepaMom.com

Given my love of Hershey PA it should come as no surprise that I am often asked for tips on what to do in Hershey PA during the Fall and Winter when the park is open but did you know that Winter and Spring is a great time to visit? Just because the park is closed doesn’t mean the the town shuts down and there is nothing to do…in fact, that is far from the truth! If you are looking for something to do with the family before the park opens for the season then make sure to check out these ideas.

Take in a Hockey Game at the Hershey Arena–are you a fan of hockey? Take in a real game and have some great family fun! My kids, especially my son, really loves going to the hockey games and they are a great family friendly night out. Tickets for the Family 4 Pack includes tickets to the game, 4 hot dogs, 4 soft drinks, 4 popcorns and a program and prices start at just $89! How awesome is that? There are still games on the schedule so make sure to check out the ice! It is a really fun night for the entire family!

Visit the Hershey Theater and see a show–Located in downtown Hershey, Pennsylvania, the magnificent Hershey Theatre is the area’s premier performing arts center, presenting the finest in touring Broadway shows, classical music and dance attractions, and world-renowned entertainers. The current schedule includes family friendly shows and performances including the family friendly The Sound of Music! I know that I can’t wait to see the show in this historic theater! Check out their website for additional detail
