Your guide to Thanksgiving leftovers

Expert tips from Hershey PA's Chef Ian Giusti

We haven't hit the big meal yet...but honestly? One of my favorite parts about any holiday meal is the leftovers. They're hard to think about while you're still stuffed on Thanksgiving, but what about Friday? We called in an expert to provide culinary inspiration. Here are some favorites from Devon Seafood + Steak's Executive Chef, Ian Giusti.

He gave us some ideas and we aren't calling them recipes because they're meant to be simple, "throw together" meals. That's the beauty of leftovers. They're easy, inexact and stress-free.

Thanksgiving Sandwich

A classic, but still worth mentioning. Pick a bread (whether it's a leftover dinner roll, baguette, ciabatta, etc.) and top with your favorites - turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, you name it! Pop it all in the oven to warm up and enjoy.

Shepherd's Pie

This one is easy as...pie! Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix your turkey, stuffing, veggies and gravy together. Put into a pie pan and top with mashed potatoes. Bake for about 25 minutes or until heated through.

Turkey Noodle Soup

Take your turkey, stock, green beans and corn. Grab some egg noodles and boil it all up until hot and the noodles are cooked through. Easy peasy! Oh, and if you have peas, you could throw those in too ;)
