Must-Try Appetizers, Steaks, Desserts at Revelry at Hershey Lodge

The dining scene in Hershey has gotten a bit sweeter.

Revelry Chophouse, Bar & Patio is now open at Hershey LodgeFormerly The Forebay, Revelry offers guests a refreshed dinner menu focused on classic and contemporary chophouse fare with premium cuts and the largest wine and spirits list available throughout the resort.

Revelry Sous Chef Katie Eurich and her team said they wanted to create a concept that wouldn’t be a drastic change from The Forebay that guests have come to know and love, but would still elevate the restaurant experience and the style of food.

“I hope (guests) realize all the hard work everyone is putting in to make their experience the best they can have,” Chef Katie said. “We put everything we have into making sure the guest has an amazing experience from the service to the food. They should feel well taken care of, like they’re at home and comfortable.”

Guests can expect to see more premium chops and steaks as well as a modern twist on familiar flavors. View the full dinner menu.

Here are Chef Katie’s must-try appetizers, sides, entrees and desserts.

Must-Try Sides and Appetizers

Baked macaroni and cheese and creamed spinach are pretty familiar side options. But to add a modern touch, the chefs at Revelry top their Horseradish Mac and Cheese with horseradish crumb and use kale instead of spinach in the Creamed Kale, which take the side offerings to the next level.

Must-try appetizers include the Burrata and Blistered Shishito Peppers with lime and cilantro chimichurri, which adds some lightness to the menu, and the Cured Salmon, which is a recipe Chef Katie impressed with during her job interview at Hershey Lodge.

Signature Chops

Chef Katie’s favorite chop on the menu is the 14 oz. Dry Aged Certified Angus N.Y. Strip. But the coolest one by far, she said, is the 34 oz. Tomahawk Rib Chop. Yes, you read that correctly. 34 ounces. This dish for two certainly makes a statement and adds a unique conversation piece to the table.

Another unique chop is the 14 oz. Dry Aged Duroc Pork Porterhouse. It’s very tender and flavorful and unusual to find on a menu, Chef Katie said.

A Taste of Hershey’s

If you’re looking to add an extra taste of Hershey’s to your meal, be sure to try the restaurant’s House Made Chocolate Steak Sauce, order a Chocolate Manhattan cocktail, or of course, save room for dessert. Revelry has kept some classic Hershey’s desserts from The Forebay on the menu, such as the Molten Chocolate Cake and Molten Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake, and added some new ones, such as the Take 5 Banana Tart.

But the dessert that really represents the essence of Revelry, Chef Katie said, is the Poached Pear and Sweet Cream Pound Cake with bourbon ice cream, cranberry sauce and brown butter crumb. The warming flavors and incorporation of spirits embodies the overall atmosphere of Revelry.

Revelry is open from 5-11 p.m. daily. To make reservations, call 717-534-8601 or visit HersheyLodge.com/Dining.
