Hershey Bears Hockey Honor Humboldt Strong

I’ve always loved hockey, there’s something about the energy in the stadium, the aggressiveness of the sport combined with pure athletic ability and the cleverness of the players that just captivates you. I’ve never been to a hockey game other than the Flyers in Philly and was excited to hear I was invited to check them out as part of my #SweetestMoments tour in Hershey, PA!

Hershey has so much more to offer than you’d first expect. Located an easy drive from Philadelphia and New Jersey, Hershey makes for a fun day or weekend trip!

The Hershey Bears play hometown at the Den at the Giant Center which is just minutes from the Hershey Lodge. The game I attended on April 14, 2018 was a special event as both teams honored the victims of the Humboldt Broncos accident. All the players convened on the ice and participated in a short ceremony honoring the 16 victims of the tragic bus accident. Seeing this level of commitment to the hockey community was touching, and a total of $7,328 was raised for Humboldt that evening.

Afterwards, we watched the Hershey Bears play an amazing game against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, with a win of 2-1. It was such a fun game with delicious food and drink and some time hanging with some of the Bears!
