Count down to 2017 in Chocolate Town, U.S.A.!

It’s hard to believe 2016 is coming to a close! We had a lot of great stories to share this year, and we are excited to share even more in 2017. There are multiple events happening in Hershey, PA on New Year’s Eve – geared toward both adults and families. As always, there is something for everyone in Hershey The Sweetest Place On Earth.

Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction
From 4 to 9 p.m., Hershey's Chocolate World attraction will host a family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration with a DJ and dance floor, hourly countdowns and appearances from the Hershey's Characters.

The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue
The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue hosts “Rock Around the Clock” for kids to celebrate New Year’s Eve throughout the day on December 31. Kids can ring in the new year with the Hershey’s product characters and “bubble-wrap stomps,” where children pop bubbles by jumping on giant sheets of bubble wrap at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. A DJ will provide five decades of party music between stomps. All activities are free for attendees.

Downtown Hershey
The Square in downtown Hershey, PA hosts its annual New Year’s Eve celebration from 9 p.m. to midnight on the 31st. All events are free. The schedule of events is below. 

7 – 10 p.m.: Hershey First United Methodist Church will host food and fun for the whole family, including outdoor games and a concert in the church sanctuary.

9 p.m. – midnight: Concert in the downtown Hershey, PA square at Chocolate and Park avenues
9 p.m.: All Jacked Up, a local rock and roll cover band
10:40 p.m.: Jacob Whitesidesm indie pop singer-songwriter

11:55 p.m.: Countdown begins
11:59 p.m.: The Hershey Kiss rises
Midnight: Fireworks when the Kiss reaches the top!
